How does one sparkle in the darkness? Drip, the little dew drop, needs your help! Lead him through the forest to find the perfect spot to shine at the first light of dawn.

Little Dew Drop is a small, relaxing and slow-paced 2D platformer. Enjoy the original soundtrack while travelling through six increasingly challenging levels.

Don't fall on dry ground or get lost in flowing water! Can you find your way through small caves, around spiky caterpillars and over the great river to reach the perfect spot?

==============================

This game was created as a family summer holiday project (🏝️😎💻🏖️). If you wish to support us, you can buy your own copy of the game's original soundtrack. These 8 tracks created by our composer Lyra Arpa come as an mp3 sound file package, including the background tracks of all levels and the sparkling cave atmosphere.

==============================

Our dev was following along this "Build a 2D Platformer Game in Unity" tutorial by Coding in Flow to create the base of this game. Thanks!

And holding left/right on thin platforms lets you floa

You can infinitely jump when under a platform

Indeed! Oh dear, you found the secret weapon to whizz through the levels... xD Our dev is a little trickster, I bet more such "bugs" will be returning in our next project. ;-)

Nice game! Its art style is very unique, and the music is beautiful, but some things in the game just don't make sense.  Like, why do you die when you touch a water stream? Wouldn't you get absorbed? And if getting absorbed kills you, why don't you die when you touch other water droplets? And the final level was way longer than it had to be. And it didn’t really have any unique or interesting mechanic or combination of mechanics either. All you really did was walk, collect water droplets, jump, wait, jump again, wait some more, and then go to the next level. In conclusion, the art style and music are very beautiful, but it was lacking in interesting mechanics.

Total Score: 3/5.

This game was not safe from my glitching shenanigans either

Hey there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us some feedback! ✨For a first time project your words are very flattering AND useful as well. We shall keep your input about mechanics in mind for our next game. I agree, the last level should, for such a small game, somehow hold some extra surprises or be more challenging to complete. We thought going up would add that extra something, but it seems our approach can be improved upon. ;-)
Again, thanks for playing Little Dew Drop and we hope to see you playing our next project also!

Very cute game I enjoyed it very much. Artwork is sweet and colours are very nice. Music is beautiful and suits the game. There were a couple of bugs but programmer job is the hardest anyway :)

Wow, thanks so much for taking the time to drop us this lovely comment! We're flattered. 🌻💧☀️
He, I think we were successful in catching the biggest bugs before release, but I guess some smaller ones escaped our nets xD.  The next Seidel Games project will have less bugs (or cooler ones, LOL)! See you then. ✨
Regards.

I cannot get the zip file to work. Is there a support email?

Yeah! But it looks like you'll get to the email only once you contact Itch.io with your problem about the game. Let me think about this before I wildly post email addresses in comments...

In the meantime:
If you are on Windows, you need to download the appropriate zip-file, unpack it (there should be an option to do so when you right-click the zip-file) and once that's done, double-click on the exe-file.
The same should work for the Linux distribution.
I hope you don't mind this generic advise, but I am not sure what exactly your issue is so I start by covering the basics. ;-)

I love the art! If you decide to continue development, I would recommend coyote time for the jumps. The player does move a little slow

Hiya! We didn't know about Coyote Time but it makes so much sense to have, so thanks a bunch for pointing that out! We are still collecting feedback while also looking into these tips and how to implement them but I hope we can publish an update very soon. :D Thanks again for your comment. Regards, Windy

so cute but the response time is so slow :*)

Hey, thanks for the comment! You're totally right. We had great feedback in that regard and some tips already and are super thrilled to use that for our next project. Hope to see you again then. :D
Thanks a lot for playing! ✨
